FBE (Fusion Bonding Epoxy) refers to heavy-duty thermosetting epoxy powder coating.

Features of FBE (Fusion Bonding Epoxy)
1) Coating with good chemical resistance, solvent resistance, being able to withstand the chemical corrosion of the transmission medium, and long-term contact with brackish groundwater, seawater, soil microorganisms of various organic acids and other corrosive substances;
2) Coating tough abrasion resistance, impact resistance and excellent resistance to bending between the pipe and have excellent adhesion, can effectively prevent damage to the construction and mechanical damage during use of plant roots and soil environmental stress;
3) The coating has good insulation properties, resistance to chemical corrosion under cathodic protection, to achieve long-term conservation purposes;
4) Coating having a high glass transition temperature, a wide application temperature range, to maintain optimum performance between -30 ~ 100 ℃;
5) FBE construction convenient, without primer, rapid curing, may pipeline operations, high coating efficiency;
6) Pipeline inspection and repair is simple, easy to control the quality of the coating.

Classification of FBE (Fusion Bonding Epoxy)
1) According to method can be divided into: the pipe spraying spraying powder, both inside and outside the pipe universal powder with flour, pipe outside. Pipeline outside spraying powder is divided into: single pink, double pink, three-layer structure with powder preservative;
2) According to the application can be divided into: oil and gas pipelines with flour, water pipes powder, fire pipeline with flour, mine ventilation pipe with powder, chemical pipelines with flour, oil drill pipe with powder, pipe fittings with powder, marine pipelines powder .
3) According to the curing conditions can be divided into: fast curing, curing common types. Fast curing powder curing conditions generally 230 ℃ / 0.5 ~ 2mi.

FBE process
FBE powder coating methods are: electrostatic spraying, thermal spraying, aspiration, fluidized bed method, roll method. Pipeline coating electrostatic spray method commonly used friction, suction or thermal spraying; generally taken outside the pipeline electrostatic spray coating method; shaped pieces using a fluidized bed method or electrostatic spray method. These types of spraying methods have a common characteristic, that is, before spraying the workpiece needs to be preheated to a temperature that is melted on contact with the powder, heat should make the film continues to flow, further leveling cover the entire surface of the pipe, especially the depression of the surface of the pipe, and on both sides of the weld, the molten coating material flows into the surfaces to make the coating and the steel closely to minimize porosity, and cured within the specified time, and finally cooled with water to terminate the curing process.
