Difference of hot-rolled and cold-drawn:
1, cold formed steel sections appear to allow local buckling, which can make full use of bar-buckling of the bearing capacity; and hot-rolled steel section does not allow local buckling occurs.

2, hot-rolled steel and cold rolled steel residual stress causes are different, so the distribution of the cross section are quite different. Cold-formed steel sections on the type of residual stress distribution is curved, and hot rolled steel or welded steel cross-section is thin-film residual stress distribution.

3, hot-rolled steel free high torsional stiffness than the cold-rolled steel, so the torsional properties of hot-rolled steel is better than cold-rolled steel.
