Welding method
High-carbon steel is mainly used for high hardness and high wear resistance of the structure, so the main welding method is arc welding, brazing and submerged.

Welding materials
Generally do not require high-carbon steel welded joints and base metal of equal strength. When arc welding is generally used in desulfurization ability, deposited metal diffusion low hydrogen content, good toughness, low hydrogen electrodes. Requiring weld metal and base metal equal strength, you should use the appropriate level of low hydrogen electrodes; without requiring weld metal and base materials, such as strength, you should choose the intensity level is lower than the base metal of low hydrogen electrodes, remember You can not select a high intensity level than the base metal electrode. If welding preheat the base metal is not allowed, in order to prevent heat affected zone cold cracking, the choice of austenitic stainless steel electrode, to obtain a plastic, anti-crack ability of austenite.

Groove preparation
In order to limit the weld metal carbon content should be reduced fusion technology, it is generally U-shaped or V-groove welding, and pay attention to the process within the groove and the groove on both sides of 20mm scope of the oil, rust and clean.

Preheat
When using structural steel welding rod, it must be preheated before welding, preheating temperature controlled at 250 ℃ ~ 350 ℃.
